October is breast cancer awareness month.
With everything that is going on it’s something that you may have put aside…but please don’t do that.
Do you know that the earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the better the chances of successful treatment and survival. It is important to examine your breasts regularly and see your doctor if you notice any changes.
Some signs and symptoms are:
- A new lump or area of thickened tissue in either breast that was not there before
- A change in the size or shape of one or both breasts
- A discharge of fluid from either of your nipples
- A lump or swelling in either of your armpits
- Dimpling on the skin of your breasts
- A rash on or around your nipple
- A change in the appearance of your nipple, such as becoming sunken into your breast
Noticing these does not mean you have breast cancer, but it is important that you get these symptoms checked by your doctor.
As a cancer coach I guide my clients to learn what to do to reduce their risk of cancer and also give them recipes and the tools they need to look after themselves better.
This is what one of my clients shared:
“I’ve tried and routinely make so many of your recipes. I’ve maintained my blood count and weight throughout, which the doctors are super pleased with. So thank you sujata for helping me get here. I look forward to learning more from you soon xx” LH
