This is a very popular snack in our home and we are making it weekly, sometimes even twice a week! Perfect for those of us who love chocolate and want to have it guilt free.
Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies
200 grams butter
200 grams dark chocolate
200 grams self raising flour (gluten free)
200 grams brown sugar
Pinch of salt
6 eggs
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease the baking tray with some butter.
Break the chocolate into a glass bowl and add in the butter. Melt this over a saucepan of hot water. Once melted let it cool down.
Sieve the salt and self raising flour. In a large bowl beat the eggs and add in the sugar and mix until well combined. Then add in the flour (add a few spoons at a time) and mix well. There should be no visible flour or lumps. Combine this mixture with the melted butter and chocolate until smooth. Then spoon this into the baking tray and bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing. I’m using gluten free flour but you can use wholewheat self raising flour. I love the taste of Green and Blacks dark chocolate.
