Ginger, Turmeric and Orange Smoothie

2 oranges, peeled and seeded

Pinch of cinnamon powder

Small piece of ginger

Small piece of turmeric

¼ cup milk or coconut milk

½ cup water

2 tbsp rolled oats

Pinch of black pepper

Honey to taste (optional)

Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Add in more or less water depending on the consistency you like.  This not only tastes good but is an immune booster as oranges are a good source of Vitamin C, turmeric has anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity, ginger and cinnamon have anti-inflammatory properties.
