This week’s recipe is for a vegan chocolate mousse and is from my Wellness Membership Program

In this program, we have a weekly online cooking class and these recipes are exclusively for my members.  And today I wanted to share what the members are doing to get healthier and lose weight.

I’m guiding members on making healthier swaps and to reduce their sugar cravings naturally.  And if you are thinking, “I have a sweet tooth, I can’t ever stop sugar.”, that’s fine, you can still enjoy having desserts.  

Try this vegan chocolate mousse, which is made with just five ingredients and has a silky smooth texture as made with silken tofu. 

This is a quik and easy dessert that tastes delicious, you won’t even know there’s tofu as it takes on the flavour of the chocolate.  To sweeten it, I’m using maple syrup and topping with strawberries.  You can enjoy this yummy dessert guilt free!

100 grams dark chocolate

300 grams Silken tofu

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 to 2 tbsp almond milk (optional)

Sliced strawberries 

 Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt the chocolate over some hot water.

 Then In a blender, blend the melted chocolate, tofu and maple syrup. If too thick and if needed add in some almond milk and blend.

 Spoon into 4 or 5 small dessert glasses and refrigerate for an hour.  Then top with fruit and serve.

Serves 4 to 5.
